IFI announces its new director



The fresh Conductor of the Irish Gaelic Film Institute has been announced.
Sarah Glennie volition pick out up the placement in fall 2008.
Glennie has previously worked as Director of the Framework Liberal arts and Niland Drift and Commissioner of the Irish people Pavillion at the Venezia Biennale 2005.
She has curated projects for PS1 MoMA, Newly York, and Phellem 2005 and held positions at the William Henry Moore Instauration and the Irish people Museum of Modern Artistic production.
Commenting on Glennie's naming, Eve-Anne Cullinan, Chair of IFI, said: "Sarah has a wealth of experience in strategic cultural provision and of track and working in public cultural institutions both in Republic of Ireland and internationally. We are delighted to welcome Sarah Glennie to IFI to lead one of the country's most popular cultural venues into an exciting point in its history."
Among the freshly projects to be undertaken by the IFI are a renovation of the IFI centre in Dublin's Eustace Street; a collaboration with the Dundalk Constitute of Technology on a freshly facility for the Irish Film Archive and a three-year strategy plan.
